Dave moved to Manhattan Beach in 1976 after a winter in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. He located in the south end of Manhattan Beach and has resided in this beach community for the past 29 years. Dave has two children. Shannon, who is currently attending USC, in the Music School. Alex is attending Robinson Elementary School and will soon enter Manhattan Beach Middle School. Alex and Shannon enjoy a balance between academics and sports in this community and enjoy soccer, snow boarding, tennis, junior lifeguard programs, and any other outdoor activity.

Dave has been active in the community coaching AYSO Soccer, supporting the Education Foundation, Robinson PTSA, Hometown Fair Committees, and is a member of the Manhattan Beach Community Church. Outside activities include Golf, snow skiing, snowboarding, and spent many years playing beach volleyball in Manhattan Beach.
